The new Grand Wagoneer is cheaper than its predecessor, but also thousands more than the old Wagoneer
Jeep rolled out the facelifted Grand Wagoneer earlier today, ushering in a host of important changes. One of the biggest is a streamlined lineup, as the Wagoneer has been eliminated.
This is a significant shift as the 2025 Wagoneer offered seven trims, while the Grand Wagoneer had four options to choose from. While variety is the spice of life, in Jeep’s case, it was apparently overkill.

For 2026, the lineup starts with an entry-level Grand Wagoneer that costs $62,145 before a hefty $2,595 destination fee. This is a sizable jump as the 2025 Wagoneer began at $59,945 and had a lower $2,095 delivery charge.
On the flip side, the new base model undercuts the previous Grand Wagoneer by a hefty $22,800, as the 2025 version started at $84,945.
Prices across the rest of the range have also been trimmed considerably, with the 2026MY topping out at $96,390 for the Summit Obsidian 4×4 LWB, compared to $112,540 for the 2025 Series III Obsidian, which remains available on Jeep’s website.
Comfort, Tech, and Safety
Besides sporting a new look, the Grand Wagoneer comes nicely equipped with LED lighting units, rain-sensing wipers, and what we presume are 18-inch wheels. Buyers will also find a power liftgate, heated auto-dimming side mirrors, and a remote starting system.
Once inside, drivers will find themselves seated behind a heated leather steering wheel with power adjustment. They’ll be looking at a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch Uconnect5 infotainment system.
Putting displays aside, the model has perforated Capri front seats with 12-way power adjustment as well as heating and ventilation. They’re joined by second-row captain’s chairs and a split-folding third row.
Other highlights include a wireless smartphone charger, a tri-zone climate control system, and a nine-speaker Alpine audio system. The model also comes equipped with an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a universal garage door opener.
There’s a host of driver assistance systems, including Active Driving Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, and Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection. These systems are joined by Active Lane Management, Intersection Collision Assist, and front/rear park assist.
A couple of options will be available, but the most notable is a Upland Package. It adds several off-road goodies, including a two-speed transfer case, a limited-slip differential, and a Quadra-Lift air suspension. They’re joined by skid plates, tow hooks, and 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-season tires.
The base model will be offered with normal and long wheelbases as well as a choice of rear- or four-wheel drive. At launch, it will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six developing 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 468 lb-ft (635 Nm) of torque. Later on, the company will offer a range-extender powertrain.
Grand Wagoneer Limited Altitude
Moving up the trim ladder is the Limited Altitude, which starts at $71,140 and is offered exclusively with four-wheel drive. It’s based on the Limited, which adds power-folding side mirrors, perforated Nappa leather seats, and a heated second row.
This variant is presumably equipped with the Limited Altitude Appearance Package, which adds black exterior accents and titanium flourishes as well as 22-inch wheels. The package also includes Black Chiseled Metal interior decor.
Grand Wagoneer Summit Obsidian
The third and final trim Jeep mentioned was the $93,390 Grand Wagoneer Summit Obsidian. It features a lightly revised exterior with a black roof, a tri-pane panoramic glass sunroof, and a Quadra-Lift air suspension.
We also assume this one includes the Summit Obsidian Appearance Package, which adds 22-inch wheels, gloss black accents, and adjustable roof rail crossbars.
The upgrades extend to the cabin, which has 24-way power front seats that are wrapped in premium perforated Nappa leather. They’re joined by a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a four-zone climate control system, and a 19-speaker McIntosh premium audio system.
Other niceties include a head-up display, a surround view camera system, and ParkSense parallel/perpendicular park assist.
