The new special edition Wrangler adds snowy flair to the Unlimited Sahara, featuring retro white wheels, winter graphics, and a few Easter eggs
The Jeep Wrangler continues to lean on its formula of mild visual tweaks and market-specific trims to stay relevant. In the US, that means the Whitecap edition, a snow-season refresh with white accents. For Japan, there’s the Wrangler Snow Trace. Same idea, different decals.
This Japan-only version builds off the mid-tier Wrangler Unlimited Sahara trim and adds a collection of visual details meant to evoke “snow activities”. The standout addition is a set of retro-style white 2-Way wheels, which can be paired with silver center caps engraved with a Willys Jeep silhouette.

The Snow Trace design was developed with input from Jeep’s US design team and draws heavily on winter sports themes. A set of blue and light blue decals runs across the hood, incorporating the classic Jeep grille and logo. The same graphic style continues on the fenders, this time featuring silhouettes of skiers and snowboarders descending alpine slopes.
White-painted mirror caps are emblazoned with the Jeep emblem, while the spare tire cover features a graphic of a Wrangler parked in front of a mountain range. On the left rear window, you’ll find two small Easter eggs with the outlines of a Yeti and the original Willys Jeep.
The Wrangler Snow Trace is fitted with the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine generating 269 hp (200 kW / 272 PS) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, which is the only option for Japan. As with the Sahara, it comes standard with the Selectrack Full-Time 4×4 System instead of the more sophisticated Rock-Trak 4×4 of the flagship Rubicon.

Jeep is producing just 150 units of the Snow Trace edition for Japan. Pricing starts at ¥9,090,000 (roughly $58,000 at current exchange rates), making it ¥500,000 ($3,200) more expensive than the standard Sahara trim and identical in price to the range-topping Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.
Anyone who test drives the Wrangler Snow Trace will receive a free beanie or neck warmer, while buyers will get a special blanket designed by Jeep in collaboration with K2, the American ski and snowboard brand.
