A main route through Birmingham is partially sealed off this evening, August 21, following a police pursuit.
Police are currently at the scene on Kings Road in Kingstanding, close to the junction of Colindale Road.
An car is overturned on its roof and there has been a significant emergency service presence.
West Midlands Police confirmed that a car crashed at the junction of Colindale Road and Kings Road following a police pursuit.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested.
The road remains sealed off as drivers are told to find an alternative route.
Residents have told BirminghamLive this evening of hearing "drones" and a "loud noise."

A man was arrested this evening after a car flipped onto its roof following a police chase. For all we know, including everything from police, read our report here.
The wrecked car has been removed but the carriageway will remain closed yet.
The car struck a tree which is now unstable so crews are awaiting the council to make it safe.
The car has now been removed from the scene but Kings Road remais closed off.
Heeru Panthi, 22, was at home in Kings Road, when the incident unfolded.
She told our reporter: “My younger brother saw it and heard a loud noise.
“He called me and when I came downstairs I saw all the police and the overturned car.
“There was a crowd, the fire brigade and ambulance.
“I saw police handling a man who was half undressed.
“He was wearing shorts. He was treated in the ambulance.
They had drones up too.”
This video from the scene below shows the car being removed. A flatbed lorry arrived to remove the stricken vehicle and it was attached by a tow rope.
The force confirmed:" Following a pursuit, the car crashed at the junction of Colindale Road and Kings Road and the driver ran away.
"A 37-year-old man was located nearby and arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and robbery.
"He has been taken to hospital to be assessed for injuries. His condition is not considered to be serious at this time."
West Midlands Police said they spotted a "stolen vehicle" in Kingstanding today at 4.30pm. A pursuit then followed, which resulted in the red car on its roof.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson has confirmed: "Officers spotted a stolen vehicle in Kingstanding today at 4.30pm.
"Following a pursuit, the car crashed at the junction of Colindale Road and Kings Road and the driver ran away.
"A 37-year-old man was located nearby and arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and robbery.
"He has been taken to hospital to be assessed for injuries. His condition is not considered to be serious at this time.
