Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) has set a new monthly delivery record and is poised to debut a new model to turbocharge growth.
The Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA)-backed Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker delivered 70,289 vehicles in October, marking its sixth consecutive month of record-breaking performance, according to data released today.
This represents an 84.11 percent increase from 38,177 units delivered in the same period last year and a 5.45 percent rise from September’s 66,657 units.
From January to October, Leapmotor delivered 465,805 vehicles, marking a 120.72 percent year-on-year growth.
The company aims to deliver between 580,000 and 650,000 vehicles in 2025 and will challenge the one-million-unit full-year deliveries next year.
Leapmotor will unveil the A10 — the first model in its A series — at the Guangzhou auto show later this month, the company announced today.
The 2025 Guangzhou auto show will be held at the Canton Fair Complex from November 21 to 30, with November 21 designated as Media Day. Established in 2003, the Guangzhou auto show is held annually in November.
Leapmotor planned to launch the first model of its A series in the first quarter of 2026, local media outlet Leiphone reported last month.
The new model will be developed simultaneously for the Chinese and European markets, with dimensions smaller than the B series to align with European consumer preferences, the report said.
Leapmotor debuted its D19 large SUV (sport utility vehicle) in China on October 16, the first model in its D series, with deliveries expected to begin in the first half of 2026.
On November 7, the company will commence pre-sales in China for the Lafa 5 hatchback, which made its global debut at the IAA Mobility in Munich, Germany, in early September.
