Gardai in Co Galway are at the scene of a major road traffic collision along the M6 near a busy junction.
At least one lane is closed westbound with traffic extremely slow or stopped near the incident.
The incident occurred some time around 7am on Friday morning 24 October near J19, the junction in and out of Oranmore.
A witness describes a 4km tailback as traffic is hit very hard by the incident.
A Garda spokesperson told Galway Beo: "Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending a two-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 6:30am on the M6 road at Oranmore, Co. Galway this morning.
"No injuries have been reported to Gardaí.
"Road closures are currently in place while members continue to attend the scene."
