A lorry and car crashed earlier, closing a road near Bedford
A road has been closed after a crash involving an overturned lorry and a car in Bedfordshire.
Police said it happened in Mill Road in Thurleigh, north of Bedford, at about 16:00 GMT.
Bedfordshire Police said, external the road was closed between the junction of Milton Road and Robins Folly and was "likely to be closed for a while".
Bedford Borough Council said the road was "expected to remain shut for some time whilst investigations are carried out, and substantial repair works may be required before it can be re-opened again".

Photos posted from the scene by the council on Facebook, external showed the overturned lorry and debris strewn across the road.
Earlier, a lorry carrying cattle overturned on the A421 in Bedfordshire.
