Losi R/C is adding to its line of NASCAR R/C cars with the addition of NASCAR legends Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr, decked out in two of their most iconic looks.
As part of their second annual line of NASCAR R/C Cars, Losi R/C has released some fan-favorite looks, like Kyle Larson’s Valvoline car and Ryan Blaney’s black Advanced Auto Parts scheme. But now, the storied R/C brand is adding two NASCAR Hall of Famers to its lineup.
On Thursday, Losi added Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. to the Losi family, featuring both drivers in two of their most iconic looks.
Earnhardt Sr.’s No. 3 is not the typical Goodwrench look; rather, it’s his Goodwrench Plus car, with which he piloted from 1997 to 1999 and won the 1998 Daytona 500. This car not only features iconic NASCAR contingency sponsors but is also set on the new NASCAR Next Gen body style, adding a modern twist to this classic look.
Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 8 is based on the revitalized Budweiser No. 8 that he raced at Florence Motor Speedway last November. That race marked the first time Jr carried the ‘Stylized’ No. 8 and Budweiser on a car since the 2007 NASCAR Cup Series season finale.
While that car was a late model, Losi has placed this slick-looking scheme on a NASCAR Next Gen body, keeping scale with the rest of its NASCAR lineup.
Losi, a veteran of the R/C car industry, launched its line of NASCAR R/C Cars last season. But these 1/12-scale R/C cars are not your run-of-the-mill R/C car. These hobby-grade R/C cars come fully assembled, and, according to Losi, with proper tuning and upgrades, can reach speeds of over 20 MPH.
