A driver luckily escaped with no injuries after a collision at a roundabout in Carrigaline last night.
The incident occurred at approximately 9.10pm on Saturday, during which a car was involved in a single-vehicle collision in the centre of the town near the Church of Our Lady and Saint John. The vehicle became stuck on its side on a roundabout in front of a religious grotto.
Gardaí and members of Carrigaline Fire Brigade rushed to the scene and the road was cordoned off. The town's firefighters also launched an appeal for locals to avoid the area on social media as emergency services dealt with the incident. The fire service later confirmed that all occupants of the vehicle made it out "safe and sound."
