M25 drivers are caught in severe delays after an incident has left one car on fire and closed two lanes. Those travelling on the anticlockwise carriage at junction 29 at Basildon and Romford are in two miles of traffic, leading back to Brentwood.
An incident this morning involving multiple vehicles, according to Inrix, the live traffic blog, is causing long delays. Lanes three and four remain blocked, and traffic is backing up during rush hour. It was first reported at around 6.30am this morning (October 29).

An incident on the anticlockwise carriageway betwen junctions 27 and 26 this morning has now cleared.
An incident between junction 26 and 25 on the M25 anticlockwise carriage saw one car alight this morning (October 29).
A spokesperson for Essex Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a vehicle fire on the M25 between junctions 27 and 26 today at 6.18am. Crews from Basildon and Brentwood attended and extinguished the fire by 6.40am."
Traffic has built up on M25 from junction 29 at Basildon and Romford are in two miles of traffic, leading back to Brentwood this morning. National Highways has reported 8 miles of traffic.
National Highways have announced that there will be delays of around 80 minutes while traffic clears.
Traffic on the M25 is building in the area. According to reports from Inrix, the live traffic blog, congestion in the area is leading back to junction 2, affecting the Dartford crossing tunnels.
A witness to the fire has claimed that two men travelling in a tanker for a drain clearing company are supporting. It has been claimed that the civilians are using the tanker hose to help extinguish the fire.
An incident on M25 involving two vehicles has led to a car fire on M25, anticlockwise. The traffic travelling between junction 29 to Romford and Basildon and 28 to Brentwood is experiencing severe delays.
