
Drivers on the M60 are facing rush-hour travel chaos this morning after a crash involving three cars. The multi-vehicle collision on the major UK motorway happened on the anti-clockwise stretch from J1, Stockport Pyramid, to J27, for the Portwood roundabout.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that three cars were involved, but no one was injured and all passengers exited their vehicles safely. Traffic service Inrix said there were queues of around five miles of traffic due to the impacted area being “partially blocked”. Traffic is also slow on the clockwise carriageway “due to onlookers”, Inrix added.

All lanes have now reopened on the M60 anti-clockwise between J1 and J27, traffic service Inrix confirmed.
There is also traffic on other stretches of the M60 this morning.

There are delays of more than 15 minutes, it added.
Traffic is also slow on the clockwise carriageway “due to onlookers”, Inrix added.
Traffic England’s map also shows congestion on the clockwise side, with delays of 10 minutes.
There is seven miles of congestion stretching to the M56 J5 near Manchester Airport, traffic service Inrix said.
One lane is currently closed due to the stranded cars that were damaged in the crash, GMP said.
No one has been injured in the crash this morning and all passengers were able to exit their cars safely, GMP said.
