A serious crash on one of Perth's major freeways brought train services to a halt and caused traffic chaos in the city's south.
Southbound traffic on the Kwinana Freeway was very heavy for almost 8 kilometres and came to a standstill through Jandakot and Cockburn.
Train services on the Mandurah line, in both directions, were cancelled for several hours.
However, just before 6pm Transperth announced Mandurah line services had resumed between Elizabeth Quay and Rockingham, although not to the usual timetable.

Just before 5pm on Thursday, Main Roads WA said the crash had been cleared but train services were still impacted.
The crash, between a car and a truck, happened about 1pm just south of the North Lake and Armadale Road interchange.
Details about injuries are unclear — but police say they have not yet received reports of any life-threatening injuries.
Vision from the news helicopter shows significant resources at the scene, with the inner lane of the freeway blocked off.
The white car involved in the accident was extremely damaged.
The truck involved looked to be carrying a trailer loaded with a few boxes, and a large set of wheels became detached from the vehicle.
While not clear at this stage how the crash happened, the damage to the rail lines brought more than 10 workers to the area.
The power lines above the tracks appeared to have been damaged.

Surrounding roads were also heavily backed up.
