A section of the M4 had severe delays after an accident involving four vehicles on Tuesday, November 25 morning as well as a second incident within two hours. The M4 eastbound in Newport had queuing traffic due to the two incidents from junction 24 A449 (Coldra) to junction 23A A4810 (Magor Services).
A road traffic collision involving for cars was reported to Gwent Police at 6.40am on Tuesday morning. No injuries have been reported.
A second crash was recorded on traffic monitoring site, Inrix as well as AA traffic news.
Traffic cameras showed significant tailback traffic that hit delays of up to an hour and 18 minutes.
Traffic has retruned to normal after multiple crashes along the M4 eastbound in Newport.

One lane is partially blocked again due to the second crash.
Whilst traffic is still slowly moving along the M4 eastbound, delays are slowly decreasing. AA trafic news still reports a 43 minute travel time between junction 30 A4232 Pentwyn Link Road (Cardiff Gate) and junction 23A A4810 (Magor Services).

Whilst the incident has been cleared there is still an hour and 18 minutes delay, according to AA traffic news with an average speed of five mph.
The incident in now clear on the M4 eastbound junction 24 Coldra to junction 23 Rogiet. However there is still queuing traffic due to the earlier crash.
AA traffic news has reported extended delays of 53 minutes as police are at the scene dealing with the incident.
AA has reported:
Severe delays of 53 minutes and delays increasing on M4 Eastbound between J28 A48 (Tredegar Park) and J23A A4810 (Magor Services). Average speed ten mph.
Traffic Wales has warned drivers to allow extra travel time if they are driving on the M4 eastbound junction 33 Capel Llanilltern. There is currently congestion on the offslip with delays possible.
There is still a build up of traffic along the M4 eastbound near Newport due to the accident earlier this morning.
Police are at the scene of the collision on the M4 eastbound. Lane three is blocked due to the accident.

The severe delays caused by the accident on the M4 are increasing to 42 minutes with traffic moving at an average speed of ten mph.
Google Maps show slow moving traffic across a large section of the M4 heading from Newport to Magor.
The accident was reported at around 6.39am this morning with queuing traffic remaining along the motorway.
Traffic monitoring site, Inrix reported: "M4 Eastbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident from J24 A449 (Coldra) to J23A A4810 (Magor Services)."
