THE A13 is closed in south Essex after a car has overturned in a serious crash with an oil spillage in the road.
The major road is closed London-bound between A1012 and A126 near Lakeside in West Thurrock due to a crash involving a single car, which has overturned.
There is oil and debris in the road as a result of this incident.
Essex Police, firefighters, paramedics and National Highways officers are all attending the scene.

The road is closed between the Stifford Interchange and the Brickbarn Wood Junction (where traffic joins from the A126).
The diversion route is as follows:
A National Highways spokesman said: “If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.”
