A MAN has been left with serious injuries after a crash between a car and a motorcyclist in Co Westmeath.
Gardai were called to the scene on Main Street, Rochfortbridge this evening at around 5:30pm.

A motorcyclist, aged in his 30s, was found with serious injuries and rushed to Tullamore Hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: “Gardaí are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle that occurred at approximately 5:30pm on Saturday, 27th September 2025, on Main Street, Rochfortbridge, Co. Westmeath.
“The motorcyclist, a male in his late 30s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Tullamore Hospital for treatment.
“The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination and local traffic diversions are in place.”

Gardai also issued an appeal for witnesses to the crash.
They said: “Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling through Rochfortbridge between 5:15pm and 5:45pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Mullingar Garda Station on 044 938 4000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”

Separately, a man in his 40s has died in hospital after being struck by an SUV in a single-vehicle crash earlier this month.
The collision happened on the Broad Road in Monaghan in the early hours of Saturday, September 6.
The crash, involving an SUV and a pedestrian, occurred shortly before 1am.
The male pedestrian, aged 47, was taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where he was treated for serious injuries.
The scene was preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
The cops confirmed the death of the pedestrian as he passed away in the hospital today – three weeks after the horror crash.
The spokesperson for Gardai confirmed that the coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
