A man was airlifted to Foothills Hospital in Calgary with serious injuries after a motor vehicle collision near Duchess on Saturday.
Brooks RCMP responded to the collision between a car and a motorcycle on Sept. 6, 2025, at about 3:20 p.m. on Township Road 212, just east of Highway 36.
Officers arrived to find the Duchess Fire Department providing medical aid to an injured adult male motorcyclist.
Traffic control was established by Mounties and Duchess Fire.
EMS attended the scene and confirmed that STARS Air Ambulance was on their way.
Initial investigation revealed that the driver of a car was attempting a left-hand turn onto a service road when the motorcycle collided with the driver’s side of the vehicle.
RCMP said alcohol and speed are not considered factors in this collision.
