A MAN has died after a car crashed into a building in Leigh.
Police are appealing for information after the fatal collision in the early hours of this morning, Sunday, September 7.
At around 3.05am, emergency services responded to reports of a collision on Wigan Road, close to the junction of Nel Pan Lane.
It is believed that a Nissan car had been travelling eastbound along Wigan Road before it hit a building.
Members of the public and emergency services came to the aid of the driver, a man, aged 39, but he died from his injuries.
It is not believed that any other vehicles were involved.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now investigating and want to establish the circumstances that led up to the fatal incident.
