SEATTLE — An overnight shooting in Seattle's South Park area has left one man dead, and police are searching for the shooter.
The gunfire happened around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday in front of the Museum of Chicano Latino Culture along Des Moines Memorial Drive South, west of Highway 99 and Boeing Field. One of the museum's windows was shattered.
The car involved in the shooting was found riddled with bullets, and police confirmed that a man inside the vehicle was killed. The shooter has not been found.
The King County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit spent most of the night collecting evidence at the scene. Authorities have not released the name of the victim or details about what led up to the shooting.
Investigators are hopeful that security cameras in the area may provide crucial leads in tracking down the suspect or suspects involved in the incident.
