A man was killed after being hit by a car Thursday morning on Tryon Road in Raleigh. Officers said the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Tryon Road at Dillard Drive.
Police said Daniel Zacharias II, 27, was running the middle lane of the road wearing dark clothing, and there were no streetlights in the area.

A person driving a Kia Optima hit Zacharias, and he died later at a hospital.
The driver of the Kia stayed on the scene and cooperated with police. No charges have been filed.
