A MAN was injured after a car “rammed” another vehicle which led to a key Bradford road closing for more than 12 hours.
A police cordon was put in place on Tong Street from Tuesday evening as West Yorkshire Police conducting its investigation.
Officers attended reports of a disturbance shortly before 6pm yesterday.
One man, who lives locally, said: “I came out at 7pm or 8pm last night and I saw the police’s flashing lights.
“At first, I just thought it was a car crash, but there was too much going for it just to be a car crash.
“I seen some video of people jumping out their car with bats.
“Our street is quiet but we have all of this happening around the corner
A local shopkeeper has been left devastated by the incident.
They said: “I came back here at about 5.30pm yesterday and I seen the cordon and the cars damaged.
“It’s a big incident.
“It must be something serious that it has taken this long.
“Whatever has happened has affected the business. It’s not been as busy this morning.
“I’m devastated because Tong Street is a very peaceful community.
“It’s very rare that you see stuff like this.
“We’re here to help each other.”
When the Telegraph & Argus visited the scene, a silver car was on the left-hand side of the road within the scene, diagonally facing the opposite direction.
It was badly damaged, with the front-left side door crumpled.
A white car was directly behind it, facing the opposite way diagonally, with its left wheel on the pathway. Its front left-side door is also crumpled.
Debris was littered across the road and the path near the two vehicles.
