CHICAGO (WLS) — One man is dead and another is critically injured after a Northwest Side shooting and crash on Saturday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said it happened in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood's 4400-block of West Augusta Boulevard just after 5:20 a.m.
Two men, 37 and 29, were heading westbound in a red Dodge charger when someone fired shots, striking them and causing their vehicle to crash, police said.
Police said the 37-year-old, shot in the back, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The 29-year-old, shot in the head multiple times, is in critical condition.
No one is in custody, and Area Four detectives are investigating.
