A man is in the hospital after a shooting in Wake County near Wendell early Wednesday morning, according to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office. 
Deputies responded to a shooting on Privette Road around 1 a.m. The Wake County Sheriff’s Office said deputies found a man who was shot. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 
The WRAL Breaking News Tracker captured video of deputies investigating the scene on Privette Road around 2:45 a.m. 
Deputies were also investigating a car with a bullet hole about three miles away. Deputies on the scene tell WRAL that the two scenes are related. 
WRAL News has reached out to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office to get more information about how the two crime scenes are connected. 
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office said deputies are investigating what led up to the shooting. WRAL News is working to find out if anyone has been arrested.
