The man at the centre of a bomb scare that shut down part of Norwich has said he “fears for his life”.
Besnik Ademaj was going to a business meeting when he parked his car in Bank Plain on Thursday afternoon.
After returning to his car following the meeting, a woman approached Mr Ademaj and told him not to go in his vehicle as “something was under the car”.
Mr Ademaj at first didn’t believe her, but checked underneath his vehicle only to find a black object.
Police cordoned off Bank Plain at around 4pm and sniffer dogs searched the scene, closely followed by a bomb disposal squad.
“I was shocked,” Mr Ademaj said. “After the cordon, I heard two big bangs that nearly took my heart away.
“I could have been in that car.
“I’m still shaken from what I heard.
“It feels uncomfortable, I feel unsafe, I feel threatened and I fear for my life.
“I hope they find who did it.”

The cordon caused massive disruption in the heart of the city as tensions rose around what was behind the tape.
Mr Ademaj said he is now terrified to get in another car and that the incident is “life-changing”.
Police reopened the road and removed the cordon at 10pm after an officer was seen collecting what is believed to be debris next to the car.
Norfolk Constabulary have since confirmed in a statement that the item placed under the car was not explosive.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “Assisted by the Explosive Ordnance Device team, the device was recovered. It was reviewed and not believed to be explosive. No one was injured.”
