Maruti Suzuki recently launched the Victoris SUV in India. Based on the Grand Vitara, the mid-size SUV is dimensionally larger than the former (spans longer at 4.3 metres). It also aced Bharat NCAP safety ratings, securing all five stars. The Victoris can be booked for a token of Rs. 11,000, starting today.
Mechanically, the mid-size SUV gets a 1.5-litre petrol motor, and mild- and strong-hybrid powertrains.
Externally, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris gets a connected LED tail light bar, new grille, DRLs, and headlights, squared-off wheel arches, dual-tone aero-cut alloys sized at 17 inches (215/60 section), shark-fin antenna, powered tailgate with gesture control, and white front and rear skid plates.
Internally, there’s 64-colour ambient lights, 10.1-inch IC, 10.25-inch fully digital infotainment screen, Alexa assistant, Suzuki Maps with traffic and speed recognition, Infinity x Dolby Atmos audio with eight speakers, panoramic sunroof, eight-way power-adjustable ventilated front seats, and an underbody CNG tank with a ‘concealed space’ concept. There are two new interior colourways as well.
The Victoris will be made in India and exported to over 100 international markets.
Colours
The Maruti Victoris gets 10 colours – Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Eternal Blue, Sizzling Red, Bluish Black, Magma Grey, Mystic Green, Splendid Silver with Bluish Black Roof, Sizzling Red with Bluish Black Roof, and Eternal Blue with Bluish Black Roof, out of which the Eternal Blue and Mystic Green shades are new.
Variants, Transmission Options
The Maruti Victoris gets eight variants across FWD and 4WD configurations – LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi (O), ZXi+, ZXi+ (O), ZXi+ 4WD, and ZXi+(O) 4WD. Transmission options include 5MT, 6AT with paddle shifters, and eCVT (strong hybrid). There are also four terrain and three driving modes on offer.
Safety Score Breakdown
The Victoris secured a full five-star crash test rating, which is further broken down into 31.66/32 points in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 43/49 points in Child Occupant Protection, applicable to all variants in the lineup. It is equipped with six standard airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera.
AOP: 15.66/16 points in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test (good head, thigh, and ankle protection), and 16/16 points in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test (good head, neck, chest, and leg protection).
COP: DUALFIX 5Z with Vario Base used; 8/8 (front) and 4/4 (side) for an 18-month-old child, same scores for a three-year-old child.
