McLaren takes its new hypercar hero to the track.
Since its establishment in 1963, McLaren’s legacy has been tied to motorsport, and when its first road car, a record-breaking masterpiece that is one of the world’s most desirable collector cars today, was revealed, it was aptly named the F1. Since then, Mclaren has begun a tradition of bestowing its halo hypercars with a “1” name, with the P1 emerging in the 2010s as part of an ultra-exclusive cohort of hybrid hypercars that would change the trajectory of performance engineering for the tneire automotive world, and the W1 breaking cover as the next chapter of McLaren’s hybrid hypercar excellence, with over 1,000 horsepower and unfathomable performance potential.
Since the introduction of the W1, McLaren fans have been excitedly anticipating the performance prowess of the new hypercar in full, unabashed action, and as the car has undergone testing, a new video of the McLaren W1 hypercar in dynamic testing at one of the world’s most iconic race tracks is the best look at what it’s capable of so far.
