A motorist has suffered serious injuries following a crash involving a lorry and a car on the A30 in Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police was called to the collision on the A30 at Zelah, near Truro, at around 1.50pm today (January 14).
The road was initially reported to be blocked after a lorry had overturned in the road.
However, police have now confirmed that the collision involved a lorry and a car and the road has been closed in both directions.
There is said to be queueing traffic in the area as a result.
One witness reported seeing two fire engines, one fire car and an ambulance attend the scene.
Another witness said they'd been stuck on the road for two and a half hours.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We were called to reports of a serious road traffic collision involving a lorry and a car on the A30 at Zelah, near Truro, at around 1.50pm today, Wednesday, January 14.
"The road is currently closed in both directions.
"One person is reported to have sustained potentially serious injuries.
"The incident is ongoing."
