TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you’re obsessed with keeping your vehicle gleaming and clean, you’re in luck: a new car wash is set to open shortly in Toms River.
ModWash, which has a location on Fischer Boulevard, is set to open its second location on Route 37, the company announced.
The grand opening is set for Oct. 16, and is part of a weekend of family fun scheduled through Oct. 19, the company said.
The grand opening includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Toms River Chamber of Commerce at noon and guests can enjoy free car washes, food, and ModSwag throughout the weekend.
In addition, ModWash is offering a ModFounders Club special: the first 500 customers to sign up for a ModMax Membership will receive their first month for just $10, followed by a locked-in rate of $25 per month for life. This special will also apply at the ModWash at 833 Fischer Blvd.
It also will be donating $1,000 to Cedar Grove Elementary School, the company said.
“Teachers play a vital role in shaping the future of our kids; the dedication teachers show in supporting their students is inspiring,” said Karen Hutton, founder and CEO of ModWash. ModWash also offers a 20 percent discount on all membership packages for teachers, students, health care workers, first responders, veterans, and active-duty military.
“Everything about ModWash comes from a passion for taking care of our guests,” Hutton said. “Yes, we’ve built a great car wash that protects your car, outside and under, but what we love is creating ‘Raving Fans’ through the outstanding guest experience we are creating. Our guests are the only reason we’re here.”
The company offers a variety of services, including an automated bug spray, wheel cleaner, waxing, undercarriage cleaning and more.
“ModWash is more than just an express car wash — it’s a full experience,” the company says. “Every visit includes ModPerks such as ModMat Cleaners, ModAir Fresheners, powerful vacuums, microfiber towels, tire inflators, tunnel scents, and hit music.”
ModWash was founded by Karen Hutton and is headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and has 125 locations around the country, including 10 in New Jersey.
