HOLMEN, Wis. (WEAU) – New details are being released following a fatal three-vehicle crash in La Crosse County.
According to an updated press release from the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office, on Oct. 30,2025, at 7:55 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office was informed of a three-vehicle crash with injuries ear Whispering Pines Campground, N8905 US Highway 53 in Holmen, Wis.
The press release says investigation shows a SUV traveling southbound on Highway 53 crossed the center line and collided with a northbound commercial vehicle hauling a trailer. The SUV struck a third vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 53.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim in the crash is identified as 82-year-old Janice Symiczek.
