Audi Australia’s best-selling nameplate gets completely refreshed for 2026 with a re-engineered MQB Evo platform and significantly enhanced powertrains
Full pricing and preliminary specifications have been revealed for Audi’s crucial third-generation Q3 small SUV, which will arrive in Australia in the second quarter of 2026.
Underpinned by Audi’s all-new exterior and interior design language, this premium small SUV will be available in two bodystyles from launch (SUV wagon and Sportback coupe-SUV) with three powertrains and four Launch Edition variants.
Front-drive Q3s feature the 110kW/250Nm mild-hybrid 1.5-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder with seven-speed dual-clutch ’box from the A3 hatch/sedan – making them good for 0-100km/h in 9.1sec (down 0.2sec) with improved fuel efficiency.
Standard kit now includes adaptive LED headlights with selectable DRL signatures, illuminated Audi rings on the electric tailgate and acoustic front-window glazing, with the Sportback uniquely gaining S-line styling and 19-inch alloys.
Interiors feature partial leather trim, heated electric front seats, three-zone climate control, 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and 12.8-inch centre touchscreen, cooled wireless phone charging, and a 260-watt, 10-speaker stereo with subwoofer.
Launch Edition 110kW variants bring S-line styling for the SUV, an exterior black package, 19-inch Audi Sport alloys, metallic paint and red brake calipers, plus new two-valve adaptive dampers and a sound actuator for the engine.
Q3 quattro variants start with the 150kW/320Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder (up from 132kW) with a seven-speed dual-clutch ’box – shaving 0.7sec from the 0-100km/h time (now 7.1sec).
Matching the sportier performance, 150kW Q3s get standard S-line styling, 19s, sports front seats and hill-descent control, while the Launch Editions feature the same spec updates as the 110kW front-drive Q3s.
New to the Q3 line-up is a high-performance 2.0-litre packing 195kW/400Nm with quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch ’box, which Audi says can sprint from 0-100km/h in 5.7sec.
Reflecting their top-shelf positioning, 195kW Q3 quattros get 20-inch Audi Sport alloys, adaptive dampers, red brake calipers, privacy glass and a panoramic sunroof.
An S-line interior package brings stainless-steel pedals, aluminium inlays, a heated sports steering wheel, black headlining and upgraded ambient lighting. There’s also a head-up display and a premium Sonos sound system.
Options include the ability to extend the full factory warranty for up to nine years, which is transferable to future owners.
Due to the inclusion of a more sophisticated drivetrain with 48-volt technology, as well as extra standard equipment, entry-level Q3 pricing has risen by $2900 to $61,600 before on-road costs for the front-drive SUV.
In comparison, the better-equipped Sportback version has risen by $2400 to $64,600 before on-road costs.
The gruntier 150kW 2.0-litre Q3 quattro S-line commands a very small premium over the previous generation, with prices rising by just $600 to $70,200 before on-road costs. At $72,700, the 150kW Sportback quattro is $700 more expensive than the old 40TFSI quattro Sportback.
Crowning the model line-up is a new-to-Q3 195kW quattro performance variant which commands an $11,700 price premium over the 150kW quattro, regardless of bodystyle.
