MODESTO, Calif. (WKRC) – The owner of a brand new American muscle car was arrested an hour after leaving the dealership lot.
According to a statement issued by the California Highway Patrol, a Ford Mustang GT driver was arrested after being caught on radar speeding at 139 mph in a newly purchased Mustang on a roadway in California.
The patrol reported that the driver recklessly passed other motorists before being stopped by a Specially Marked Patrol Vehicle. The vehicle, allegedly bought just an hour prior, was impounded.
The CHP emphasized their commitment to removing reckless drivers from the roads, stating, "They pose a great risk to themselves and everyone they share the roadway with."
