Police on Tuesday revealed the first up-close look at two of the suspects wanted for beating up a couple during a fiery illegal car meet-up in Queens over the weekend.
Images released by the NYPD show the suspects, described as males between 18 and 24, who were allegedly among those who attacked a man and his wife when a mob of rowdy drivers took over a street corner in a usually quiet neighborhood in Malba.
One was seen wearing a dark-colored jacket and pants while the other was in a dark-colored hat and sweatshirt.
After the beatdown, they fled in a white Chevy Silverado heading southbound on the Whitestone Expressway, police said Tuesday.
Shocking video from the meet-up shows a mob of about a dozen hoodlums kicking, punching and stomping Blake Ferrer on the ground after he confronted them and told them to get off his property. They also pounced on his wife and then torched a parked private security vehicle.
Ferrer, who suffered broken bones in the attack, was taken to York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, police said.
He said he “100%” plans on pressing charges once police make an arrest.
“Listen, at the end of the day, all I want is for this never to happen to anybody else again,” he said. “Hopefully, it can deter any group of kids from going into any neighborhood.
Police brass said it will be stepping up patrols in the Malba neighborhood.
