BYD sold 373,626 vehicles globally in August, including 371,501 passenger cars. From January to August 2025, BYD’s cumulative sales reached 2,863,876 vehicles, showing a significant year – on – year increase.
Specifically, the sales volume of BYD’s Dynasty and Ocean series of cars in August was 342,838 vehicles; the Fangchengbao brand sold 16,265 vehicles in August; the Denza brand sold 11,993 vehicles in August; and the Yangwang brand also had a sales volume of 405 vehicles.

Among them, the NIO brand delivered 10,525 new vehicles; the Ledao brand delivered 16,434 new vehicles, a month – on – month increase of 175%; and the Firefly brand delivered 4,346 new vehicles.
The new ES8 was launched in August. The new vehicle is positioned as a large – size SUV, with comprehensive improvements in space, intelligence, performance, and other aspects. The new vehicle is equipped with a full – domain 900V high – voltage architecture, comes standard with a 102kWh battery. The total power of the front and rear dual motors is 520kW, the peak torque is 700N・m, and the 0 – 100km/h acceleration time is 3.97 seconds.
In addition, the new ES8 is equipped with NIO’s self – developed intelligent driving chip, the Shenji NX9031. Li Auto delivered 28,529 new vehicles in August. As of August 31, 2025, the historical cumulative delivery volume was 1,397,070 vehicles. In addition, the Li Auto i6 will be officially launched in September, targeting the market in the price range of 250,000 – 300,000 yuan.
