HELENA, Mont. — One individual is dead and another is injured after a car drove into a Helena home on Saturday evening.
Officials say a 52-year-old Helena man was driving an Audi south bound on Lake Helena Drive in an attempt to flee a Montana Highway Patrol trooper.
The topper was attempting to pull the vehicle over when it reportedly stopped and let a passenger out before continuing to drive.
The Audi eventually drove straight through an intersection before crashing through a fence and into a house.
Officials say the vehicle entered the bedroom of the house and struck two individuals inside, one of whom died from their injuries. The other was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The suspect was apprehended and taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.
Officials are currently investigating the incident, however, Montana Highway Patrol reports alcohol, drugs and speed are all suspected factors.
