One person was taken to hospital after a crash in Cedar this afternoon.
First responders were called to the intersection of Cedar Road, Raines Road and Harmac Road at approximately 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, following a collision involving a car and a pickup truck.
Justin Gueullette, chief of North Cedar Volunteer Fire Department, said the drivers of the two vehicles were the only occupants, and that one of the drivers was being transported to hospital by B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics.
Traffic eastbound from Cedar Road onto Harmac Road was reduced to single-lane alternating as crews cleared the scene.
According to recently released ICBC data, there were two crashes at that intersection in 2024 and 21 crashes over the five-year period between 2020-2024.
