DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – One person was hospitalized following a crash on Thursday, early afternoon, involving a semi truck.
According to the Duluth Police Department, the crash occurred around noon.
Initial information shows a semi ran the red light while traveling eastbound on Grand Avenue at Raleigh Street.
The semi truck then struck a vehicle traveling westbound on Raleigh Street.
DPD says the driver of the vehicle, who was struck, was brought to a local hospital for minor injuries. There was no indication of another passenger in the vehicle at the time.
The semi driver was issued a citation for failing to stop at a red light, and the driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for driving after revocation and without insurance.

We are reviewing the incident and collecting information as part of our internal review, and we will cooperate with the appropriate authorities as needed. Our thoughts are with everyone involved.
