Clayton police have identified a man that died in a crash Wednesday morning.
Police said 68-year-old Billy Ray Dupree crossed the intersection at Lombard and Main streets when he struck a utility box and hit the railroad tracks before flipping over.

Johnston County officials said the crash happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. At the time, WRAL News was told a home was directly hit by a car.
Police later confirmed that the car did not drive into a home. Dupree was pronounced dead on the scene, officers said.
Police said the railroad tracks were shut down while the accident was investigated and cleared.
Officers believe Dupree may have suffered a medical crisis which may have led to the crash.
The investigation is still ongoing.
