SANDY, Utah (KUTV) — A pedestrian was critically injured after they were hit by a car in an intersection.
Sgt. Mike Olsen with the Sandy Police Department said the pedestrian, only identified as a man in his 40s, was hit while walking in a crosswalk at 1000 East 11000 South.
He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene.
The intersection was closed as officials investigated.
