A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in New Haven early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to Chapel Street and Temple Street around 12:03 a.m. for a report of someone struck.

According to police, the 56-year-old female later died of her injuries. Her identity has not yet been released.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene. At this time, no arrests have been made.
Police originally said the woman who died was a bicyclist and then corrected themselves and said she was a pedestrian.
