A woman has been hospitalised with serious injuries after she was hit by a car on Captain Cook Crescent near the Manuka Oval, police have said.

The ACT Policing spokesman said the road in Griffith was closed between Franklin and Stuart streets on Friday afternoon while officers were investigating the incident.
A spokeswoman from the ACT Emergency Services Agency said the pedestrian was transported by ACT Ambulance paramedics in a serious condition.
It’s understood that the car involved in the incident was still at the scene when emergency services arrived.
Police have not made any arrests.
