Sparks Police say a pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a car in the parking lot of the Sparks Costco early Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 12:10 p.m., according to police. Officers say it was a car-versus-pedestrian crash, and the department’s Major Accident Investigation Team has taken over the scene.
Police said the driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The area around the crash remains closed and is expected to stay shut down for at least another hour while investigators work.
