A PEDESTRIAN has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in a busy Ayrshire street.
The incident happened earlier this afternoon on Fowlds Street, Kilmarnock.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised around 2.40pm.
A male pedestrian was blue-lighted to hospital.
His condition is not currently known.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Fowlds Street in Kilmarnock is closed following a collision involving a pedestrian and a car which happened around 2.40pm on Wednesday, 19 November, 2025.
“The male pedestrian was taken to hospital.
“The town centre is extremely busy due to the road closure and motorists are advised to avoid the area.”
