A deadly crash happened on Tuesday morning around 4:29 a.m. at East Charleston Boulevard and North Lamb Boulevard.
A 2018 Honda Accord, traveling westbound on East Charleston Blvd., struck a pedestrian who was crossing northbound against the "Don't Walk" signal in the west crosswalk.
The Honda had a green traffic signal at the time of the incident. Emergency medical personnel transported the pedestrian to University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving efforts.
The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and was not impaired.
This incident marked the 142nd traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2025.
The collision is under investigation by the department's Collision Investigation Section.
