A WITNESS appeal has been issued after a hit-and-run in Ardrossan.
According to police, two people were struck by a car on the town’s Sorbie Road, close to Ardrossan Academy, shortly before 6pm on Thursday, December 4.
Officers say that the pedestrians were hit by the vehicle, which was described as being red, after it failed to stop at traffic signals.
They are now appealing to anyone who may have information on the incident to come forward to assist with their investigation.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in North Ayrshire are appealing for witnesses after a road accident about 6pm on December 4, 2025 in Sorbie Road, Ardrossan, near to Ardrossan Academy.
“Two persons were crossing the the road at the pedestrian traffic lights when they were struck by a red car which failed to stop.
“If you have any information or dashcam footage which may assist with our enquiries, please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number PS-20251204-2563.”
