WHITESTOWN, Ind. (WISH) — Two people were arrested Tuesday morning in connection with a series of car break-ins in the Bridle Oaks housing subdivision, said an email from Capt. John Jurkash of Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department to News 8.
The break-ins in the Boone County town northwest of Indianapolis prompted a significant police presence in the area as officers worked to apprehend the suspects. The exact number of vehicles affected was not shared publicly.
Jurkash wrote in the 8:35 a.m. Tuesday email, “I’m happy to report that there was such an increased presence of police due to an early apprehension of one of the suspects and a continuing search over the last few hours. Just within the last 10 to 15 minutes, we successfully located and apprehended the second suspect as well.”
The names of the suspects were not public shared because police had not yet completed their investigation.
