Police have blocked several roads after a man was hit by a car. Emergency services were called to Station Road in Maghull just before 7am on Wednesday, October 22.
It followed a report a pedestrian, a man in his 50s, had been involved in a crash with a black Land Rover car. The man has been taken to hospital for serious injuries.
The driver has stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquires.
Merseyside Police confirmed emergency services are at the scene while we deal with the incident.
Road closures are in place on Station Road, Taylors Lane and Hall Lane as the incident is ongoing.
Police have advised drivers to avoid the area while emergency services deal with the incident.
