NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The New Bedford Police Department said detectives are investigating after 20 vehicles were damaged over the weekend.
Officers responded to Union Street after receiving multiple reports of damaged property.
At the scene, police said officers discovered a vehicle with a damaged windshield, as well as an object that was believed to have caused the damage.
A short while later, police found another vehicle with “similar damage” on the same street, police said.
As police were investigating on Union Street, officers responded to Allen Street for additional reports of damaged vehicles.
New Bedford police said 20 vehicles were damaged in total, including a Massachusetts State Police cruiser.
Police have not made any arrests in connection to this case.
The incident remains under investigation.
