A car, boat and shed were all targeted in recent days, and officers leading the investigation have appealed for information,
Around 3:00am on Tuesday, November 4, a garden shed on Frances Row in the Lang Toun was deliberately set on fire. Later the same morning, around 5:00am, emergency services received a report of a car on fire on Edington Place in Dysart.

On Thursday, November 6, around 4.40am, there was a fire on a boat in the Hot Pot Wynd area of Dysart.
Officers are considering whether these incidents may be linked and are appealing for information.
Ryan Taylor, Community Policing Constable said: “Thankfully there were no reported injuries during these incidents, however this reckless crime has caused alarm for those involved as well as financial implications.
“This type of criminality will not be tolerated and it’s vital we trace those responsible.

“I’d appeal to anyone with information on the fires to come forward. I’d also please ask anyone with private CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to review this and bring anything you think may be of importance to our attention.”
