Porsche’s presence in Latin America enters a new era.
Porsche is known for its cherished legacy of luxury performance cars, which stretches back an impressive length of over 75 years. For the past 25 years, Porsche Latin America has supported and enriched the passionate community of enthusiasts and owners of Porsches in the region, cultivating a burgeoning car culture surrounding Porsche’s signature automotive excellence. To celebrate that 25-year anniversary, Porsche has announced a new Sonderwunsch project called Icons of Latin America, which began with the bespoke Porsche 911 GT3 “Ocelot,” which featured a unique configuration inspired in part by the natural beauty of the Amazon rainforest.
However, Porsche didn’t stop there regarding celebrating and bolstering its Latin American presence. Now, Porsche has just opened its first Driving Center in Mexico, which is also the first Porsche Driving Center in Latin America, celebrating not only the anniversary of Porsche Latin America but also the brand’s lasting commitment to the region and its car enthusiasts.
The new Porsche Driving Center is located at Mexico Drive Resort, a complex outside Mexico City, and it offers enthusiasts experiences that showcase the performance potential of Porsche’s diverse lineup of luxury sports cars. A track of roughly 2.5 miles in length, designed by Hermann Tilke, provides challenging curves, thrilling straights, and elevation changes that allow drivers to experience the full breadth of Porsche’s performance engineering.
The space features modern design, meeting rooms, and a fleet of Porsche cars that drivers can experience, including electric cars, and the new Driving Center is ready for test drives, training courses, and even corporate events. Felipe Nasr, an official Porsche factory racing driver since 2022, attended the grand opening ceremony for the new Driving Center, coming off of earning titles in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, winning the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in 2024 and 2025, and even piloting the Porsche 963 racing hypercar to its first IMSA victory at Road America in 2023.
In conjunction with the opening of the new Porsche Driving Center, the location at Mexico Drive Resort hosted the eleventh edition of the Porsche Road Show, bringing some of Porsche’s most exciting sports cars onto the track for a spectacle of an event. With its first Driving Center opening in Latin America, Porsche celebrates a milestone anniversary of its presence in the region by making it even stronger.
