Porsche’s Macan Electric line just got a serious dose of performance with the new 2025 GTS, slotting neatly between the 4S and Turbo variants. For enthusiasts who crave thrilling performance without tipping into overkill, the GTS has always hit the sweet spot, and this latest Macan keeps that tradition alive.
Quick off the line and nimble through bends, the Macan GTS’s 509 horsepower and 704 LB-FT of torque strike a rare and satisfying balance of speed and control. Engage overboost, and horsepower spikes to 563, nudging the car ever closer to the Turbo’s 630 horsepower while keeping it manageable for daily driving.
The heart of this performance is Porsche’s rear electric motor, borrowed from the Turbo model, paired with a 100-kWh battery pack capable of recharging from 10 to 80 percent in just 21 minutes at 270 kW peak. Track Endurance Mode actively manages the battery cooling system to avoid derating, making it possible to wring out the GTS over multiple laps without sacrificing raw power. Porsche claims the sprint to 60 MPH takes 3.6 seconds, the quarter-mile hits in 12 seconds, and top speed is 155 MPH. Numbers like this make the Macan GTS more sports car than SUV.
But the GTS isn’t just about straight-line shock and awe. Porsche has tuned the adaptive air suspension, anti-roll bars, and PASM damping specifically for this model. With rear-biased 48:52 weight distribution, a low center of gravity, and electronically controlled Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, cornering agility is exceptional. Optional rear-axle steering sharpens the turn-in even further, turning this electric SUV into a vehicle that can embarrass more conventional performance cars on winding roads. Limited-slip differential and torque vectoring help harness that power efficiently, keeping the rear planted without oversteer theatrics.
Inside, the Macan GTS continues the performance theme with Race-Tex and leather upholstery, optional GTS Interior Package matching exterior color choices like Carmine Red, Lugano Blue, and Slate Gray Neo, plus carbon-fiber trim. The Standard Sport Chrono Package brings Taycan-inspired Track Mode and telemetry, giving drivers access to lap timing, sector analysis, and more via the central 3D display.
Blacked-out exterior accents, 21-inch wheels (22-inch optional), and aggressive bumpers complete the visual package, making this EV instantly recognizable as a GTS without tipping into Turbo territory.
Pricing lands at $103,000, bridging the gap between the $88,000 4S and the $109,500 Turbo. That puts the GTS squarely in reach for enthusiasts who want a daily-drivable, track-capable EV without forgoing Porsche’s unmistakable performance pedigree. For a model with roots tracing back to the 904 Carrera GTS of 1963, this all-electric Macan shows that GTS still stands for more than just speed. It’s engineering intelligence wrapped in a thrilling, high-voltage package.
