A pregnant woman and her unborn baby have died after she was hit by a car involved in a two-vehicle crash in Sydney‘s north.
The 33-year-old, who was eight months pregnant, was struck at the entrance of a carpark on George St in Hornsby shortly after 8pm on Friday while she was walking along the street.

Police allege a silver Kia Carnival had slowed at the entrance to let the woman pass when it was rear-ended by a white BMW, causing the Kia to lurch forward and hit her.
She was treated at the scene before being rushed to Westmead Hospital in a critical and unstable condition, where she later died, along with her baby.
The 19-year-old BMW driver and the 48-year-old Kia driver were uninjured but taken to Hornsby Hospital for mandatory testing.
No other occupants were in either vehicle, police confirmed.
Following enquiries, the 19-year-old P-plater was arrested at a home on Millewa Ave in Wahroonga about 12.45am on Saturday.
He has since been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death, and causing the death of a foetus.
He was refused bail and is due to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
