RUMFORD, Maine (WGME) — A suspect is still on the loose after a car chase in Rumford.
Officers say five people fired rifles at them during a pursuit on South Rumford Road.
Their vehicle crashed, and they ran into the woods.
Around 5 a.m., Rumford Police issued a shelter-in-place order to find the suspects.
By 6:30 a.m., police found two of the suspects, and the order was lifted.
Police are still searching for the three remaining suspects, who are in their 20s.
They were last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and sweatpants and could be armed.
Police ask if you have any information of his whereabouts to contact them.
